Run # 139 - The Short Toniko Run Prelude to The New Longest Run of the Streak Run

Same run as last night and I have no idea the time I did it in.

I'm quite concerned illness is on it's way. My health is crashing and I felt terrible right at the start of this one.

Here was the playlist

1. Dizzy - Jimmy Eat World

2. Sympathy - Goo Goo Dolls

3. Boston - Augustana

4. Get Up - Quietdrive

Run # 138 - The Really Slow Toniko Run

Just another 1.5 miles on a night when I felt terrible. I think I'm getting sick. I have a cough and my fingers hurt.

Run # 137 - Another Downtowner

It's D-Backs-Cubs game 1 tonight and I scored a nosebleed seat. This means more beer, some hot dogs, and a run downtown.

Above is the map.

Run # 138 tomorrow and I'm gonna try to go for at least another four miles, which would allow me at least another 3 beers.

I have 19 miles scheduled for Saturday, which could result in a cheeseburglar bender and the sky is the limit on how many of those I could consume.

Run # 136 - A Solid Four Miles

Using a lot of water, a cheeseburglar from McDonald's as well as a snack wrap, plus a medium Coke, I stepped outside in my new shoes and got after it.

I performed well with just under 8 and a half minute miles.

I felt so good I drank a beer afterwards. Then 2 more.

It appears I need to look at my diet and see if its healthy enough.

I feel like I'm on the right track though because both the cheeseburglar and the beer tasted really good.

Run # 135 - The New Shoe Toniko Run

My new shoes have arrived and when I picked up the box outside of my front door I felt a level of excitement I haven't experienced since I went through the drive thru of McDonald's on Saturday morning.
I never in my life would have imagined being this happy about shoes, but I am. I took them on what has become my 2nd favorite and most frequented run, the Toniko run. Its getting cooler at night but I'm just not focusing on time for the next week or so. The time posted above is most likely pretty off...I just guessed and didn't take a watch. Once I break the shoes in and have time to eat things other than TV dinners, fast food, and toothpaste, I'm sure I'll concentrate more on running longer and faster...oh and on running hills too.
Note: "I'm sure" = roughly 5.6% sure

Run # 134 - The Last Old Shoe Run

I ordered a pair of new shoes from brooksrunning.com. They are the Brooks Trance 7 and I expected them on Monday night.

So on Sunday night I did the neat little run above in about 15 minutes. I say about because I've decided so spend a little less effort (essentially meaning barely any effort) keeping track of time. I'm basically running 1-3 miles per day with a long run on Saturdays.

With two months from tomorrow until the Tucson marathon, I plan on slowly incorporating a few longer runs during the week. I plan on that, but whether or not that happens is another story.

I just want to keep the streak alive and do better than my marathon time of 4:19 in January.
